The following requirements must be met by those seeking a second bachelor's degree. Students are required to:
- Hold an acceptable degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Have a GPA of 2.5 or better in the last 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units) attempted, or a 2.5 GPA on units included in your bachelor’s degree
- Be in good standing at the last college or university attended
Baccalaureate degree may be in progress at the time of application. However, you must submit a final official transcript showing the conferral date for your baccalaureate degree to avoid the rescind of the offer of admission. Degrees must be conferred prior to the start of the term.as follows:
- Fall conditional admits must submit a final, official transcript with degree posted no later than July 15th
- Spring conditional admits must submit a final, official transcript with degree posted no later than November 1st.

1. Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ online and pay the application fee:
- Complete your admission application at .
- Pay $70 nonrefundable application fee.
- Print and keep the confirmation page. We no longer accept paper applications.

Make sure you have these items handy to ensure a smooth application process:
- Unofficial transcripts - You will be asked to enter all courses you’ve completed, those currently in progress, and any you plan to take before transferring
- Your Social Security Number (if you have one) to assist with financial aid process
- Credit card number to pay for your application fee
2. Submit official transcripts, test scores and other documents upon request:
- Monitor your and portal for transcripts and needed documents
- Transcripts must be submitted one of three ways:
- Electronically
- Mailed directly by the school to 25800 Carlos Bee Boulevard | Hayward, CA 94542
- Hand-carried in the original sealed envelopes to Cal State Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ's Enrollment Information Center located on the first floor of the Student Services and Administration (SA) Building on the Hayward Campus. You can also deliver it to the Academic Services Center on the Concord Center
- Test scores (, , and ) must be submitted to the Office of Admissions to be evaluated and have college credit awarded accordingly
3. Accept your offer of admission and prepare your journey to be a Pioneer
- Accept the offer of admission to reserve a space in the upcoming class by the deadline
- Submit your final transcripts to clear any condition by the deadline

Not all majors are open for second baccalaureate applications. At this time, the following majors are not accepting applications:
- Art
- Biology
- Computer Science
Please note that you cannot earn two degrees in the same field. For example, a student is not permitted to have a B.A. degree in Geology and then apply for a B.S. in Geology.
Similarly, you cannot earn a bachelor's degree in the same field as a minor. For example, a student is not permitted to have a bachelor's degree in geology with a minor in anthropology and then apply for a bachelor's in anthropology.
